[origin: WO9014756A1] There is disclosed a bale wrapper apparatus (10, 100) which can be towed behind a baler (11, 111) of the type suitable for producing cylindricl bales, with the apparatus receiving the bales discharged from the baler and automatically applying a stretched plastics film wrapping around the bale. In one embodiment, the apparatus (10) has a rotating turntable (16) which rotates a bale about its horizontal axis (18), while rotating itself about a vertical axis, so that film dispensed from a reel can automatically form an airtight wrapping around the bale, and in another embodiment a satellite type of film dispenser reel (119) orbits around the bale which is placed on a ron-rotating table (116) having rollers (117) which rotate the bale about its axis. A pick-up mechanism (23, 25) is mounted at the front of the apparatus to receive bales as they are discharged from the baler, and then lifts and rearwardly transfers each bale onto the rollers (17, 117) of the table (16, 116) so that wrapping can take place.

La présente invention décrit un appareil destiné à emballer les balles (10, 100) qui peut être mis en remorque derrière une presse du type utilisé pour la fabrication de balles cylindriques. L'appareil reçoit les balles en provenance de la presse et les enveloppe automatiquement d'un film plastique étiré. Dans une version, l'appareil (10) possède un plateau tournant (16) qui fait tourner la balle autour de son axe horizontal (17), alors que lui-même tourne autour d'un axe vertical. Ainsi, le film distribué par un rouleau forme automatiquement un emballage étanche autour de la balle. Dans une autre version, un rouleau distributeur (119) annexe tourne autour de la balle, laquelle est posée sur un plateau fixe (116) muni de rouleaux (117) qui font tourner la balle sur son axe. Un mécanisme de ramassage (23, 25) est installé à l'avant de l'appareil pour recevoir les balles que la presse a déchargées, avant de les soulever et de les transporter une à une par l'arrière sur les rouleaux (17, 117) du plateau pour y être emballées.
