Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0475032A1] The fluid actuator has a longitudinally slotted cylinder (1) in which a piston (3) having a connection means (12) reaching through the slot (10) in the cylinder (1) is axially displaceable. The connection means (12) is firmly connected to a driving feature (13) which can be moved in front of the slot (10) on the outside of the cylinder. The driving feature (13) is overlapped by a power output member (14) which is guided in longitudinally displaceable fashion directly or indirectly on the cylinder (1) separately from the piston (3). To couple the driving feature (13) to the power output member (14), the driving feature (13) has a transverse groove (20) on the side facing away from the slot, in which groove there is a feather key (22) crossing the slot (10) at right angles. The feather key (22) extends beyond the transverse groove (20) on both sides and engages with its end portions in corresponding recesses (21) of the power output member (14). The coupling device between the driving feature (13) and the power output member (14), consisting of the feather key (22), the transverse groove (20) and the recesses (21) can be designed to be parallel to the cylinder axis (9) and virtually without play in the pourer transmission direction but allows sufficient relative movements and rotations between the driving feature (13) and the power output member (14) for practical use, such that jamming is reliably avoided. <IMAGE>
