[origin: EP0475073A1] The invention relates to a cleaning line consisting of at least one bale-opening machine (10) which is connected via pipelines (14, 52, 54) to at least one cleaning machine (42, 44) and via a mixer (30) to a plurality of cards (68, 70). The transport of the flakes removed by the bale-opening machine through the cleaning line can be carried out by means of suction fans (56, 58) present in the latter. After at least one cleaning station, there is provided in the pipeline (52, 54) a pressure sensor (60, 62), the signal of which can be applied to a control or regulating unit (90) which controls or regulates the size of a secondary-air port (36) codetermining the airflow through the pipeline. <IMAGE>
