In a wire reel with rotating coiling drum (1), when the coiling drum (1) is dipped into a water vessel (36), the components rotating in the water must be designed as bodies of revolution which are as smooth as possible, in order to prevent energy-consuming swirling of the water in the vessel (36), this being achieved in that the upwardly open coiling drum (1), which is formed by an outer (2) and an inner (3) casing and a bottom (4) connecting these and which is flanged to a vertical shaft (8) and is rotatable with this, the inner casing (3) of the coiling drum (1) being perforated by vertical slots (16), and an annular plate (15), inserted into the coiling drum (1) and carrying the turns of the forming wire ring, being connected by means of webs (17) passing through the slots (16) to a lifting device (21), by which the supporting surface of the plate (15) can be raised above the coiling drum (1) into a position level with the pushing-off plane (23) of the wire rings. In order, as is the object of the invention, to achieve a lower cost and a simplification of construction by the use of standardised constructional elements under the given conditions, according to the invention a sleeve (19), which is connected to a stationary lifting device (21) surrounding the shaft (8) and which engages with an annular groove round the webs (17) passing through slots (16) in the inner casing (3), to make a rotationally movable and axially fixed connection, is arranged movably in the annular space (18) between the inner casing (3) and the shaft (8) flanged to the upper end of the inner casing (3).

Bei einem Drahthaspel mit drehender Wickeltrommel (1) müssen, wenn die Wickeltrommel (1) in einen Wasserbehälter (36) getaucht ist, die im Wasser rotierenden Bauteile als möglichst glatte Rotationskörper ausgebildet sein, um energieverzehrende Durchwirbelungen des Wassers im Behälter (36) zu vermeiden, was dadurch erreicht ist, daß die nach oben offene, von einem äußeren (2) und einem inneren (3) Mantel und diese verbindenen Boden (4) gebildete Wickeltrommel (1), die an eine vertikale Welle (8) angeflanscht und mit dieser drehbar ist, wobei der innere Mantel (3) der Wickeltrommel (1) von senkrechten Schlitzen (16) durchbrochen ist und ein in die Wickeltrommel (1) eingelegter, die Windungen des sich bildenden Drahtringes tragender ringförmiger Teller (15) mittels die Schlitze (16) durchgreifender Stege (17) mit einer Hubvorrichtung (21) verbunden ist, von der die Tragfläche des Tellers (15) zur Gleichlage mit der Abschiebeebene (23) der Drahtringe oberhalb der Wickeltrommel (1) anhebbar ist. Um unter der gegebenen Bedingungen durch Verwendung standardisierter Konstruktionselemente eine Verbilligung und bauliche Vereinfachung zu erreichen - wie es Aufgabe der Erfindung ist - ist erfindungsgemäß eine mit einer die Welle (8) umgebenden stationären Hubvorrichtung (21) verbundene Muffe (19), welche die durch Schlitze (16) im inneren Mantel (3) greifenden Stege (17) zu einer drehbeweglichen achsialfesten Verbindung mit einer Ringnut umgreift, im Ringraum (18) zwischen dem inneren Mantel (3) und der an das obere Ende des inneren Mantels (3) angeflanschten Welle (8) beweglich angeordnet.
