Abstract (en)
[origin: JPH04255599A] PURPOSE: To improve coupling between a plastic impeller of a coolant pump, especially a coolant pump of an internal combustion engine, and a bearing shaft by integrally forming a journal and the impeller with a same material, and pressing or gluing the journal into the bore of the bearing shaft. CONSTITUTION: The axial direction bore 5 of a bearing shaft 1 opened in the direction of an impeller 4 is filled with a journal 6. The journal 6 carries the integrally formed impeller 4. The journal 6 and the impeller 4 are made of a phenolic resin. A sliding ring gasket 7 seals coolants or the bore 5 to the outside. Since a joint is not in the coolant, the possibility of the influence of the coolant on adhesive agents is suitably suppressed. Since the transmission of heat from the coolants to the bearing shaft is greatly prevented, the life of the bearing shaft is prolonged.

Das Kunststoff-Flügelrad (4) einer Kühlmittelpumpe ist mit einem Lagerzapfen (6) an der Lagerwelle (1) befestigt, indem der Zapfen (6) in eine Axialbohrung (5) der Welle (1) festsitzend eingreift. Dabei sind Lagerzapfen (6) und Flügelrad (4) einstückig und aus dem gleichen Material gebildet, der Lagerzapfen (6) in die Bohrung (5) der Lagerwelle eingepreßt oder geklebt und das Flügelrad (4) sowie der Lagerzapfen (6) aus einem gegen das Kühlmedium resistenten Phenolharz geformt. <IMAGE>
