In a closure cap (1) for containers provided with a partial thread, in particular a twist-off closure cap, having a cap bottom (2) and a peripheral side wall (3) gripping over the container mouth, in which side wall complementary partial thread knobs or beads (7) are formed, the cap is made of plastic and has a side wall (3) located radially on the inside and a concentric side wall (4) located radially on the outside. Provided in the region of the cap-side threaded beads (7) there are in each case at least one pressure transmission member (13) which transmits a pressing force on to the outer side wall when the cap-side bead (7) runs on to the container-side bead and a pressure transmission member in the closing direction of the cap directly in front of or at that end of the cap-side bead which transmits a pressing force from the outer side wall (4) on to the internal side wall (3), which force results from a tangential tension building up in the outer surface (4) between adjacent beads due to the pressing force acting radially outwards. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Verschlußkappe (1) für mit einem Partialgewinde versehene Behälter, insbesondere Twist-off-Verschlußkappe, mit einem Kappenboden (2) und einer umlaufenden, die Behältermündung übergreifenden Seitenwand (3), in welcher komplementäre Partialgewindenoppen oder -wulste (7) angeformt sind, wird die Kappe aus Kunststoff hergestellt und eine radial innen liegende Seitenwand (3) sowie eine konzentrische radial außenliegende Seitenwand (4) aufgewiesen und ist im Bereich der kappenseitigen Gewindewulste (7) mindestens je ein Druckübertragungsglied (13) vorgesehen, das beim Auflaufen der kappenseitigen Wulst (7) auf den behälterseitigen Wulst auf die äußere Seitenwand eine Druckkraft überträgt, sowie ein Druckübertragungsglied in Schließrichtung der Kappe unmittelbar vor oder am dortigen Ende der kappenseitigen Wulst, welche von der äußeren Seitenwand (4) auf die interne Seitenwand (3) eine Druckkraft überträgt, die aus einer sich zwischen benachbarten Wulsten aufgrund der radial nach außen wirkenden Druckkraft aufbauenden tangentialen Zugspannung im äußeren Mantel (4) resultiert. <IMAGE>
