To produce a tension- and shear-resistant connection of two beams, in particular in the form of glued laminated timber members, with mutually crossing grains of the two beams to be connected, in a process for the connection of such timber elements a bore is produced through the face of the cross-cut end of the first beam and a spindle made of metal and equipped with a thread is bonded into the bore by means of epoxy resin, an end portion of the spindle projecting above the face. On connecting the two beams, the end portion of the spindle reaches through a corresponding bore in the second beam, at the end of which is formed a counterbore for receiving a nut which can be screwed onto the end of the spindle. A ring made of metal is arranged in the connection plane of the two beams concentrically to the spindle in such a way that one ring half extends into an annular groove in the face of the first beam and the other ring half extends into a corresponding annular groove in the contact face of the second beam. After tightening the nut on the spindle, a tension- and shear-resistant connection of the beams is produced. <IMAGE>

Zur Herstellung einer Zug- und scherfesten Verbindung von zwei Balken (1,2), insbesondere in der Ausführung als Brettschichtholzkörper, mit einander kreuzenden Faserrichtungen der beiden Zu verbindenden Balken (1,2) wird nach einem Verfahren zum Verbinden von solchen Holzteilen eine Bohrung (5) durch die Stirnfläche (3) des Hirnendes des ersten Balkens (1) hergestellt und eine aus Metall bestehende und mit einem Gewinde versehene Spindel (6) mittels Epoxidharz (7) in die Bohrung (5) eingeklebt, wobei ein Endabschnitt (8) der Spindel (6) über die Stirnfläche (3) vorsteht. Beim Verbinden der beiden Balken (1,2) greift der Endabschnitt (8) der Spindel (6) durch eine entsprechende Bohrung (12) in dem zweiten Balken (2), an deren Ende eine Senkbohrung zur Aufnahme einer auf das Ende der Spindel (6) aufschraubbaren Mutter (18) ausgebildet ist. Konzentrisch zu der Spindel (6) ist ein aus Metall bestehender Ring (10) derart in der Verbindungsebene der beiden Balken angeordnet, daß sich eine Ringhälfte in eine Ringnut (9) in der Stirnfläche (3) des ersten Balkens (1) und die andere Ringhälfte in eine entsprechende Ringnut (14) in der Kontaktfläche (4) des zweiten Balkens (2) erstreckt. Nach dem Festziehen der Mutter auf der Spindel ist eine zug- und scherfeste Verbindung der Balken hergestellt. <IMAGE>
