[origin: EP0477043A1] The exhaust valve for a hydraulic piston pump of the type comprising a main valve blocking off the pump exhaust pipe and counterbalanced by a heavily loaded spring, and an auxiliary valve intended to allow the evacuation of the air during the priming stage, characterised in that the said auxiliary valve is formed by a washer (12) centred on the main valve (8) by a boss (8a) provided on the main valve, the said washer (12) coming to rest on a number of small ducts (13) cut through the body of the main valve (8), these ducts being arranged in a ring formation. <IMAGE>
