[origin: EP0477636A1] The adapter consists of a housing (10) and a cover (12) which is supported rotatably thereon. Two metallic supporting plates (14) are arranged opposite one another, seen axially, inside the adapter, on which supporting plates (14) in each case one spacer (16) holds a contact spring (18) fixedly riveted over an insertion opening (20). The insertion openings (20) open into a socket space (22). In order to achieve an electrical connection by means of the adapter, a threaded hole (24) is provided in each of the supporting plates (14), which threaded holes (24) hold round pins (28) which are stored in the chamber (26). As a result of tilting the adapter, the round pins (28) slide through the threaded hole (24) and are turned out, and thus locked, by turning them around to the left as far as the stop (30). <IMAGE>
