The present invention relates to an installation for handling and calibrating articles, such as shellfish in particular. Said installation, which comprises an input station, a weighing station (19) and an output station, is characterised in that the input station comprises: means, such as a roller (10), for conveying the articles one by one; means (1, 3, 5, 6, 8) for delivering the articles more or less in line to the entrance of said roller; a conveyor (15) at the output of the roller (10) for taking the articles arriving from said roller one by one in succession; and means (18, 19) for causing the articles to move one by one over time from the roller (10) to the conveyor (15). Applicable in particular to the calibration of oysters. <IMAGE>

La présente invention est relative à une installation pour la manutention et le calibrage d'articles, tels notamment de coquillages. Ladite installation, comprenant un poste d'entrée, un poste de pesée (19) et un poste de sortie, est caractérisée en ce que le poste d'entrée comporte: des moyens, tels un rouleau (10), pour transporter les articles à l'unité; des moyens (1-3-5-6-8) pour délivrer les articles de façon sensiblement alignée à l'entrée dudit rouleau; un transporteur (15) prévu à la sortie du rouleau (10) pour recevoir successivement et à l'unité les articles provenant dudit rouleau ; et des moyens (18, 19) pour commander dans le temps le passage unitaire des articles du rouleau (10) au transporteur (15).
