[origin: WO9100680A1] One of the electrodes (1) is shaped like a tapered rod. The other electrode comprises a metal support (3) on which is formed a porous ceramic casing (2'), the pores of which contain an oxide which is more conductive than the casing, such as zinc oxide, and an oxide which is less conductive than the casing, such as chromium oxide. The spark comprises a wire-shaped region (7) adjacent to the rod-shaped electrode (1) with an active metal surface and a corolla-shaped region (8) occupied by a plasma and producing ozone. Uses in improving combustion in thermal engines and in achieving post-combustion which eliminates non-burned residue in the exhaust from combustion devices.

L'une des électrodes (1) a la forme d'une tige terminée en cône. L'autre électrode comprend un support métallique (3) sur lequel est formé un revêtement en céramique (2') poreux, dont les pores contiennent un oxyde plus conducteur que le revêtement, tel que l'oxyde de zinc et un oxyde moins conducteur que le revêtement, tel que l'oxyde de chrome. L'étincelle comprend une région filiforme (7) adjacente à l'électrode en forme de tige (1) à surface active métallique et une région en corolle (8) occupée par un plasma et produisant de l'ozone. Utilisation pour améliorer la combustion dans les moteurs thermiques, réaliser une post-combustion éliminant les imbrûlés dans l'échappement des appareils à combustion.
