[origin: EP0478834A1] A device for signalling the open position and closed position of shuttable elements, especially windows and doors, is described, having a plurality of electromagnetic switches, which are arranged on one of the elements in an electrical signalling line, and of which at least one is activated in the event of closed elements by the magnetic field of a magnet arranged on the other element, so as to signal the closed position. In order to increase the security against sabotage, provision is made of an electrical series circuit of the electromagnetic switches, of which at least one is a make contact, and at least one further switch is a break contact. Furthermore, the electromagnetic switches are arranged in space such that the magnetic field which activates the switches by definition in the closed state acts exclusively on the make contact. <IMAGE>
