[origin: EP0479095A1] The invention relates to an electromagnetic door lock for machines, having a rotary latch (3) which surrounds a knob located on the door. The rotary latch acts on a pivoting lever (5) which can be blocked by a magnetically controllable rocker (7). These locks have hitherto had a strong mains-voltage magnet which is a disadvantage in view of the increased safety requirements. The object of the invention is to provide an inexpensive device which has a low-voltage magnet and which, moreover, is even safer against overloading. This object is achieved in that the pivoting lever (5) is equipped with two easy-action rollers (13, 16), of which one engages into a depression of the rotary latch (3) and the other stands in front of the blocking edge of the rocker (7), the longitudinal axes of the rocker (7) and of the pivoting lever forming an angle of just above 90 DEG . <IMAGE>
