[origin: EP0479663A1] The vehicle-door stop device comprises a support (5) fastened underneath the vehicle for the guidance of a rod (8) forming a handle equipped with an abutment for bearing against the inner wall of a door when the latter is pivoted against the outer side wall of a vehicle. The support (5) comprises guide means (9) for keeping the rod (8) at least in two angular positions offset relative to one another. Elastic members (12) are provided for laying the handle (13) against the door when the handle (13) occupies one of the two angular positions. <IMAGE>
