The invention relates to methods and devices for public road lighting, comprising lights aiming the light beam created by a visible light or ultraviolet lamp along an approximately horizontal axis pointing towards the rear of travelling vehicles. One application is to the lighting of motorways, where the lighting devices are placed on the central reservation and direct their beam in the same direction as the traffic. <IMAGE>

L'invention a pour objet des procédés et des dispositifs d'éclairage public routier, comportant des projecteurs orientant le flux lumineux, créé par une lampe à lumière visible ou ultraviolette, suivant un axe sensiblement horizontal et tourné vers l'arrière des véhicules en mouvement. Une application est l'éclairage des autoroutes, les dispositifs d'éclairage étant placés sur le terreplein central et dirigeant leur flux dans le même sens que la circulation. <IMAGE>
