[origin: WO9100162A1] Proposed is a parallel and angle stop designed to be mounted on the side of a sawing bench or on a bench-mounted saw, and with which the working area available between the stop and the saw blade is increased. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the adjusting unit (15), comprising a support (10), an angled plate (12) with a fixation area perpendicular to the plane of the sawing bench (1) and a cover plate (13), is lying entirely below the level of the sawing-bench work surface (2). A guide strip (32) can optionally be attached on both sides of the fixation area (29) of the angled plate (12). In addition, the guide strip (32) has T-section grooves (34-36) along three sides (37-39) for attaching it to the fixation area (29).
