[origin: WO9116829A1] A method for providing each of the shoes (or similar) worn by a user with a protective covering. According to the method, said covering is produced in the place where it is to be used and directly on the user by performing at least a combination of the following steps: forming an open, U-shaped shell from a flat sheet (3); placing the user's foot with shoe inside said shell; and closing the shell along two continuous lines which substantially cover the mid-plane of the U formed by the shell, with one line covering the front of the foot and running upwards along the user's leg while the other, at the back of the heel, also runs upwards to a set height on the user's leg.

Procédé pour la réalisation d'une enveloppe protectrice autour de chacune des chaussures (ou similaires) portées par un utilisateur. Il se caractérise en ce que l'élaboration de ladite enveloppe est réalisée sur le site même d'utilisation, directement sur la personne et ce, en mettant en oeuvre au moins la combinaison des opérations suivantes: formation à partir d'une nappe plane (3) d'une coque ouverte en forme de U; mise en place du pied chaussé de l'utilisateur à l'intérieur de la coque ainsi formée; fermeture de ladite coque selon deux lignes continues recouvrant sensiblement le plan médian du U formé par la coque, l'une recouvrant l'avant du pied et remontant le long de la jambe, l'autre, à l'arrière du talon, également sur une hauteur déterminée de la jambe.
