[origin: EP0480134A2] A vehicle door lock control is proposed, in which a plunger (1) is arranged transversely displaceable by means of an electric motor (35), spindle mechanism (36) and sliding nut (24), and in which a coupling is provided between plunger (1) and sliding nut (24). A locking device is also provided. The plunger (1) is carried by a sliding nut (24) via a carrier (16), which in the limit positions is transversely displaceable to the sliding direction and sags slightly so that the forces required for disengagement are only slightly greater than those which are required for displacement of the plunger (1). If the sliding nut (24) is run beyond the "locked" position, it carries a lever (13) against a return spring (40), by means of which lever a locking pawl (12) is made to engage in recesses (10) of the plunger (1), by means of which the plunger (1) is held in the "locked" position. <IMAGE>
