[origin: WO9014188A1] An adjustable cutting tool, for example, of the kind used on a boring bar in a lathe, comprises an elongate body (21) arranged to carry a brazed-on cutting tip (35). The body (21) is axially adjustable, in use, in a bore (12) in a boring bar (10) by means of an internally screw-threaded adjustment dial (30) engaging externally screw-threaded section (22) of the body (21). Two radially extending keys (24) are provided on a reduced diameter pilot section (23) of the body (21). The keys (24) are slidably located in respective axial keyways (31) formed in the bore (12) and inhibit rotation of the body (21) in the bore (12). The keys (24) extend outwardly to terminate radially inboard of the root R of the screw thread (22) on the body (21) so that the adjustment dial (30) can pass axially over the keys (24) for removal of the body (21).

Un outil de découpage réglable, par exemple, du type de ceux utilisés sur la barre d'alésage d'un tour, comprend un corps allongé (21) conçu pour porter un basculeur de coupe (35) fixé par brasure. Le corps (21) est réglable au niveau de l'axe, à l'utilisation, sur la chambre cylindrique (12) d'une barre d'alésage (10) au moyen d'un cadran de réglage à filetage intérieur engageant une section (22) à filetage extérieur du corps (21). Deux clés (24) d'extension radiale sont placées sur une section pilote de diamètre réduit (23) du corps (21). Les clés (24) sont situées de manière coulissante dans les cadrans de leur axe respectif (31) formés sur la chambre cylindrique (12) et elles empêchent la rotation du corps (21) sur la chambre cylindrique (12). Les clés (24) s'allongent à l'extérieur pour aboutir radialement vers l'intérieur de la racine R du filetage de vis (22) ou le corps (21) de sorte que le cadran de réglage (30) peut passer axialement au-dessus des clés (24) pour retirer le corps (21).
