[origin: EP0481099A1] Pliers-type device for removing twist-off caps of different size, having a handgrip and an actuating grip pivotable on the latter about a bearing, a draw rod, longitudinally adjustable in the handgrip and having a clamp strap, and also holding claws provided at the end of the handgrip, a draw plate (24) being displaceable on the plane draw rod (11) having the clamp strap (13) and being pressed by a compression spring against a guide wall (22) situated at right angles to the draw rod (11), in such a way that an impingement region (26) of the draw plate bears against a pressure rib (27) of the actuating grip (1) pivotable about a bearing (2).
