[origin: DE3934054C1] A matrix-shape display device comprises a display film in which a plurality of display elements in the form of displaceable tabs are arranged in a predetermined manner in rows and columns. The display elements can be placed by a setting device in front of or behind covering elements of contrasting colour. The use of a covering film and a display film, which can be adjusted with respect to each other only to a fairly limited extent, and of a setting device which can be moved over the display surface of both films results in an appreciably simpler and more reliable display device.

L'invention se rapporte à un dispositif d'affichage matriciel comportant une feuille d'affichage dans laquelle sont agencés en lignes et en colonnes, comme éléments d'affichage, une pluralité de plaquettes orientables, ordonnées dans une grille prédéfinie, lesdits éléments d'affichage pouvant être déposés par un système de composition soit devant soit derrière un des éléments de recouvement en couleurs contrastées. En employant une feuille de recouvrement et une feuille d'affichage qui ne sont mobiles l'une par rapport à l'autre que de manière restreinte et en utilisant un système de composition mobile sur toute la surface d'affichage des deux feuilles, on obtient un dispositif d'affichage considérablement plus simple et plus fiable.
