[origin: JPH04308162A] PURPOSE: To supply opened folded sheets to succeeding transporting device or storing device by supplying folded sheets stacked shiftably on the lower side to an open cylinder having a spiral gripper, and by shifting the gripper axially sequentially for each supply of the folded sheets to intrude it into the folded sheets from the side of a loop. CONSTITUTION: Grippers 38-41, in groups of four grippers, are located spirally about the circumference of an open cylinder 100, and follow process of folded sheets 1 shiftably stacked around the open cylinder 100. L-shaped stoppers 54-56 for receiving folded edges of the folded sheets 1 and directing the folded sheets adequately are provided. Thus, the folded sheets are pressed into the stoppers, a loop 101 in the folded sheets 1 is increased, and therefore, the gripper 38 intrudes in a half portion of the folded sheets suitably. Then, when the open cylinder 100 rotates furthermore in the arrow 26, remaining three grippers 39, 40, 41 related to the folded sheets 1 sequentially intrudes in a half portion of the folded sheets.
