[origin: EP0482421A1] In an ejection module 1 for a submunition container 9, the submunition bodies 7, which are ejected transversely relative to the direction of flight 3 of the submunition container 9, are arranged in front of drivers 5 which are moved by ejector pistons 2 driven by a gas generator. The ejector pistons 2 are arranged transversely relative to the direction of flight 3. The ejector pistons 2 can extend over half the width or the entire width of the ejection module.
