[origin: EP0482561A1] In a compression sprayer, the overpressure for expelling a fluid filled into a pressure container (3) which can be sealed in an air-tight fashion is generated in a reproducible fashion with the intermediate connection of a valve device which has a common pressure chamber (26) for an overpressure safety valve (28) which is actuated in accordance with the working principle of a piston air pump and a filling pressure non-return valve (15) and can be connected via a pressure channel to a pressure source which is external to the container and is closed off from the pressure chamber by a second filling pressure non-return valve (35) of the valve device with a valve element (34) which is prestressed by a pressure spring (33) counter to the supply pressure of this pressure source. <IMAGE>
