[origin: EP0482634A1] The invention relates to a method of manufacturing (cigarette) tubes for unfiltered cigarettes to be produced ("stuffed") by a smoker from, in each case, a tube of this type and a rod-shaped tobacco filling, especially a so-called tobacco roll, in individual (final) production, in which a rectangular paper strip whose width (B) is equal to the circumference of a tube plus an overlapping excess is cylindrically shaped, with overlapping of its longitudinal edge sections and with a predetermined clear internal diameter (D) corresponding to the external diameter of the rod-shaped tobacco filling, and the mutually overlapping longitudinal edge sections of the paper strip are connected to each other, support sections of cylindrical outline being arranged on a rectangular (cigarette) paper strip whose length is equal to a multiple of the length (L) of the tube, at a distance (1H) from each other, and bonded at their circumference to the paper strip; the paper strip being wound around the support sections and its mutually overlapping longitudinal edge sections being bonded to each other; and sections each forming a tube then being cut off from the tube rod thus formed. <IMAGE>
