[origin: EP0483470A1] In an automobile cleaning device, particularly for swimming pools, a drive (9) for the cleaning device is integrated in a base housing (1) and at least one cleaning brush (21) and a suction channel (29) are provided. The liquid to be cleaned is conveyed through this suction channel (29) by means of a pump (40) into a filtering space (35). In this arrangement, this filtering space (35) extends over almost the entire upper side of the base housing (1) and is covered by a housing lid (41). <IMAGE>
