Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0484274A1] The projectile shuttle loom has a weft insertion device (100) with a torsion bar (101), the zero position of which can be adjusted by means of an adjusting lever (110) and a servo-drive (1). Arranged between a sliding face (111b) of the adjusting lever (110) and a fixed sliding face (121a) is a rigid, for example wedge-shaped intermediate body (10) which can be moved by means of the servo-drive (1). The movement of the intermediate body (10) causes a pivoting movement of the adjusting lever (110) which changes the zero position. A force originating from the adjusting lever (110) is guided onto the fixed sliding face (121a) by the intermediate body (10). This is advantageous because forces and impacts originating from the torsion bar (101) consequently do not act or act only to a slight extent on the servo-drive (1), but are received or absorbed by a housing (120), without damage thereby being caused. The weft-insertion device (100) according to the invention makes it possible to regulate the zero position of the torsion bar during operation. Before a planned interruption of operation, the zero position can be varied in such a way that, in the event of a subsequent cold start, the torsion bar (101) is tensioned to a greater extent and thus an initial impairment of the lubrication of the weft-insertion device (100) is compensated.
