[origin: EP0410750A2] Methods for increasing the numbers of neutrophils and for inducing the maturation of myeloid cells in mammals by administering IL-4 are disclosed. Also disclosed are processes for purifying active recombinant human interleukin-4 from certain E. coli fermentation broths or from certain CHO-cell cell culture mediums.

On décrit des procédés qui servent à augmenter les quantités de polynucléaires neutrophiles ainsi qu'à provoquer la maturation de cellules myéloïdes chez les mammifères par l'administration de l'interleucine-4. Sont également décrits des procédés de purification de l'interleucine-4 humaine recombinante et active à partir de certains bouillons de fermentation de E. coli ou de certains milieux de culture cellulaire de cellules CHO.
