[origin: EP0484584A1] The invention relates to a rolling stand (1) with cambered work rolls (2a, 2b) and back-up rolls for the work rolls. Two back-up rolls (4a, 4b) are provided for the lower work roll (2b), these back-up rolls being mounted so as to be able to swivel on a circular path (B) around the centre (M) of the lower work roll (2b) for infinite variation of the back-up effect. It is thereby possible at the same time to achieve infinite variation of the camber in the rolling gap during the rolling operation, as a function of the rolling force which is acting. <IMAGE>
