[origin: US5095871A] In the case of a multi-cylinder reciprocating engine in a V-construction, the crankshaft drives the camshafts and an output shaft to the clutch in a center plane of the engine by means of gear drives. The crankshaft, also by means of gear drives, drives two identically designed pump units comprising a water pump and oil pumps which are mounted on the outside on the crankcase, symmetrically to the center plane of the engine.

Bei einem Mehrzylinder-Hubkolbenmotor in V-Bauweise treibt die Kurbelwelle (16) die Nockenwellen (28) und eine Abtriebswelle (30) zur Kupplung (29) in einer Mittelebene (13) des Motors mit Zahnradantrieben an. Ebenfalls mit Zahnradantrieben treibt die Kurbelwelle zwei gleich gestaltete Pumpensätze (9,11) aus Wasserpumpe und Ölpumpen, die außen am Kurbelgehäuse, symmetrisch zur Mittelebene des Motors angebaut sind. <IMAGE>
