[origin: JPH04322028A] PURPOSE: To simplify a structure of an electric fuse, and to enhance switching ability and reliability. CONSTITUTION: When an internal pressure of a casing 1 increases and then reaches a peak value at the time of disconnecting a fuse element 6, a pressure limiting device 8 discharges at least some of its content. This pressure limiting device 8 is provided in the casing 1 together with the fuse element 6, thereby preventing the breakage of the casing 1.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine elektrische Sicherung mit einem in einem Gehäuse angeordneten Schmelzleiter, der beim Abschalten der Sicherung abschmilzt, wobei Temperatur und Druck im Innenraum des Gehäuses schlagartig ansteigen. Zur Vermeidung der Zerstörung des Gehäuses beim Abschalten der Sicherung und dadurch auftretende hohe Spitzenwerte des Innendrucks, ist das Gehäuse mit einer Überdrucksicherung versehen, über die zumindest ein Teil des Gasvolumens nach außen abgegeben wird. <IMAGE>
