Abstract (en)
A device for applying a layer of a coating material to a moving surface (2) is described. This device has a reservoir (7) constructed as an overflow container, the overflow edge (8) of which reservoir determines the filling level of the reservoir. The reservoir is connected via an inflow channel (16) to a mouthpiece (18) out of which the coating material is discharged through a discharge gap (22) from the moving surface. By adjusting an upstream mouthpiece limiter (23) the length of the mouthpiece opening on the moving surface or the wetting length can be adjusted so that optimum discharge conditions can always be maintained in a discharge chamber (17) formed by the mouthpiece. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Es wird eine Vorrichtung zum Auftragen einer Schicht einer Beschichtungsmasse auf eine bewegte Oberfläche (2) beschrieben. Diese Vorrichtung weist einen als Überlaufbehälter ausgebildeten Vorratsbehälter (7) auf, dessen Überlaufkante (8) die Füllhöhe des Vorratsbehälters bestimmt. Über einen Zuflußkanal (16) ist der Vorratsbehälter mit einem Mundstück (18) verbunden, aus dem die Beschichtungsmasse durch einen Austragsspalt (22) von der bewegten Oberfläche ausgetragen wird. Durch Verstellen einer stromaufwärtigen Mundstücksbegrenzung (23) sind die Länge der Mundstücksöffnung an der bewegten Oberfläche bzw. die Benetzungslänge einstellbar, so daß in einer vom Mundstück gebildeten Austragskammer (17) immer optimale Austragsbedingungen aufrechterhalten werden können. <IMAGE>
