Bei einer Stauchpresse 1 zur Reduktion der Breite von Walzgut, insbesondere der Brammenbreite in Warmbreitband-Vorstraßen mit beidseitig zur Brammenkante angeordneten Preßwerkzeuge 9 aufnehmenden Werkzeugträgern 10, welche mit Hilfe mindestens eines Kurbeltriebes 23 in Richtung der Reduktion bewegbar sind, wobei der Kurbeltrieb 23 und ein Vorschubantrieb 12 in einem Kurbelgehäuse 6 angeordnet sind, wird zur Verbesserung der Wartung und der Verfügbarkeit der Stauchpresse vorgeschlagen, daß das Kurbelgehäuse 6 mit Kurbeltrieb 23 und Vorschubantrieb 12 sowie mit dem Werkzeugträger 10 zu einer Baueinheit 24 zusammengefaßt sind und daß diese Baueinheit 24 durch ein Ständerfenster 25 des liegenden Pressengerüsts 3 seitlich und etwa parallel zur Brammenbewegung auf einer Schienenanordnung 26, 29 verfahrbar ist, insbesondere mittels einer Verschiebeeinrichtung 27. <IMAGE>
