[origin: EP0484833A2] A time switch device (31) for a sequence of control signals (39) to be transmitted as a function of time, for example for the time-dependent variation of command variables in control engineering or for directly switching operating or checking devices on or off as a function of time, is intended to be capable of easier control by an operator while being designed for greater ease of production. For these purposes, the ability for the time-locking circuit to be influenced manually by the user or for it to be decoded by interrogation is completely abandoned, and instead the time switch device (31) is fitted from the outset in the factory with a lithium battery (32), which is typically designed with a lifetime of at least ten years, and taken into operation such that it cannot be switched off. This time switch device (31) therefore already runs correctly when commissioned without the need for the operator to intervene in its functioning.
