Ski equipped with a stopping device or brake, consisting of at least one stopping element (6) articulated on one side edge of the ski (2) and held in an operating position by an elastic means, and of one actuating pedal (7) whose role is to lift the stopping element (6) into a non-operating position when the ski is put on. The actuating pedal (7) and the stopping element (6) are independent of one another such that each of these elements can be mounted at the location which is best adapted to receive it. In particular, the stopping element and the pedal may be mounted on parts of the binding movable relative to each other. <IMAGE>

Ski muni d'un dispositif d'arrêt ou frein constitué d'au moins un élément d'arrêt (6) articulé sur un côté du ski (2) et maintenu dans une position opérante par un moyen élastique, et d'une pédale d'actionnement (7) ayant pour fonction de relever l'élément d'arrêt (6) dans une position inopérante lors du chaussage. La pédale d'actionnement (7) et l'élément d'arrêt (6) sont indépendants l'un de l'autre, de telle sorte que chacun de ces éléments peut être monté à l'endroit le mieux adapté à le recevoir. En particulier, l'élément d'arrêt et la pédale peuvent être montés sur des parties de la fixation mobile l'une relativement à l'autre. <IMAGE>
