[origin: WO9119078A1] Disclosed is a guide-vane ring with guide vanes (3) on two rings (2a, 4a) disposed coaxially a certain radial distance apart. These rings are held on associated housing sections (10, 7; 20, 17a, 17b) which are exposed to different thermal stresses. One (2a) of the rings is joined rigidly to the guide vanes (3), while the other ring (4a) is joined, by virtue of the compressive force exerted by a tensioning element (19), to the free ends of the guide vanes (3). In addition, the other ring (4a) is made up of several piston-ring-type elements (15a, 15b, 15c) located one behind the other longitudinally, each of which is slit approximately longitudinally and which together form a cylindrical slip surface for all the free ends of the guide vanes (3). The tensioning device (19) is designed to exert a uniformly distributed radial compressive force on the piston-ring-type elements (15a ... 15c) and is located on certain of the associated housing sections (20, 17a, 17b).
