[origin: EP0485767A1] The invention is aimed at a lock on sliding wings which are movable relative to fixed frames. A linkage is guided in a longitudinally movable manner on the wing frame and can be operated by a handle arranged countersunk there. In order to guarantee a comfortable and easy actuation of the handle, it is proposed to make the handle axially movable in the direction of its control bolt, so that it can be transferred between a push-in and push-out position in relation to the wing. The control bolt is used as a rotary axle for the actuation of the handle and is connected directly or indirectly by the handle fixedly in terms of rotation, but axially displaceably to an edge gear engaging on the linkage. <IMAGE>
