[origin: EP0485797A1] The invention relates to a two-fold (-buckle) buckling folder having three parts, comprising: - a lower part (1) and an upper part (2) which are articulated by means of a hinge (10), the buckling folder having to be open in the event of a jam up; - a set of four folding rollers (24 to 27); - a lower fold (buckle) (20 to 23) and an upper fold (buckle) (3 to 5) each comprising a stationary plate (3, 21) and a movable plate (5, 22); - a movable part (30) carrying the movable plates (5, 22) of the two folds (buckles), and provided with slideways (14) having a shape imposing a predetermined path; - a stop (6) and a spring (9) transmitting the opening movement of the upper part (2) to the movable part (30), by scaling down the movement, in order to move apart the plates (21, 22) of the lower fold (buckle) and, simultaneously, the plates (3, 5) of the upper fold (buckle). <??>The access to the two folds (buckles) is improved compared to known buckling folders. <??>Application to the automatic treatment of mail. <IMAGE>
