A chair, in particular an office chair is proposed which is adjustable in its height and inclination and comprises a seat support (75), a backrest support (80), a standing column (10) with a first gas spring (20) arranged therein, a support body (25) arranged on the standing column (10) in the horizontal plane as well as a first guide linkage (65) and a second guide linkage (70). The second guide linkage (70) is mounted with two struts on the side of the support body (25) and is operatively connected to a transmission mechanism. <??>The transmission mechanism arranged in the support body (25) is constructed as an angular gear, by which the swivel movement, oriented in the direction of the arrow B', of the second guide linkage (70) is transmitted, on the one hand, via correspondingly arranged swivel levers (62, 62') to a second gas spring (60) arranged with parallel spacing from the support body (25) and, on the other hand, via a tensioning device arranged in the support body (25) to the gas spring (20) arranged in the standing column (10). <IMAGE>

Es wird ein in seiner Höhe und Neigung verstellbarer Stuhl, insbesondere Bürostuhl vorgeschlagen, welcher einen Sitzträger (75), einen Rückenlehnenträger (80), eine Standsäule (10) mit darin angeordneter erster Gasfeder (20), einen in horizontaler Ebene an der Standsäule (10) angeordneten Tragkörper (25) sowie ein erstes Führungsgestänge (65) und ein zweites Führungsgestänge (70) umfasst. Das zweite Führungsgestänge (70) ist mit zwei Streben seitlich am Tragkörper (25) gelagert und mit einer Übertragungs-Mechanik wirkverbunden. Die in dem Tragkörper (25) angeordnete Übertragungs-Mechanik ist als Winkelgetriebe ausgebildet, von welchem die in Pfeilrichtung B' orientierte Schwenkbewegung des zweiten Führungsgestänges (70) einerseits über entsprechend angeordnete Schwenkhebel (62,62') auf eine zweite, in parallelem Abstand zum Tragkörper (25) angeordnete Gasfeder (60) und andererseits über eine im Tragkörper (25) angeordnete Spannvorrichtung auf die in der Standsäule (10) angeordnete Gasfeder (20) übertragen wird. <IMAGE>
