The device comprises a filamentary element of the cable type (C) fixed at each end and supported by intermediate supporting members (1), attached to which cable, and free to slide along it, is a spring hook (M) connected to the user, each supporting member (1) having a special shape (1a) (1b) (1c) to allow the spring hook to pass without becoming disconnected as it moves along the cable (C), by subjecting said spring hook to various movements of angular orientation, in combination with said shape. <IMAGE>
