[origin: EP0486836A1] Petroleum middle distillates having improved cold flow characteristics contain small quantities of A) conventional ethylene-based flow improvers and B) copolymers, which consist of at least 70% by weight of one or more monomers of both formulae I and II <IMAGE> and H2C=CH-O-R<3> (II), R<1> being hydrogen or methyl, R<2> being C8- to C18-alkyl and R<3> being C18- to C28-alkyl, and the A/B weight ratio being 40/60 to 95/5.
