A food tray is described which serves for transporting meals and for subsequent consumption thereof. For the purpose of re-use of the food tray and its lid, the dish is made of glass, porcelain, special steel or rigid plastic, and a flat lid (7') is provided which is made of an at least partially flexible plastic and is provided on its inside with ribs (15) which are adapted to the intermediate webs (3') of the food tray and rest in a sealing manner against the upper edge of the intermediate webs when the lid is closed. In order to achieve a good seal, either double ribs are provided which rest against the edge of the intermediate webs at the top, or a groove (16) is provided at the upper edge of the intermediate webs, into which groove a rib (15) mounted on the lid is inserted in a sealing manner. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Beschrieben wird eine Menüschale, die zum Transport von Speisen und zum anschließenden Verzehr derselben dient. Zum Zweck einer Wiederverwendung der Menüschale und ihres Deckels wird die Schale aus Glas, Porzellan, Edelstahl oder festem Kunststoff hergestellt und ein flacher Deckel (7') aus einem zumindest teilweise elastischen Kunststoff vorgesehen, der auf seiner Innenseite mit den Zwischenstegen (3') der Menüschale angepaßten Rippen (15) versehen ist, die beim geschlossenen Deckel abdichtend am oberen Rand der Zwischenstege anliegen. Um eine gute Dichtung zu erreichen werden entweder Doppelrippen vorgesehen, die sich oben auf den Rand der Zwischenstege auflegen oder es wird eine Nut (16) am oberen Rand der Zwischenstege vorgesehen, in die sich eine am Deckel angebrachte Rippe (15) dichtend einlegt. <IMAGE>
