[origin: WO9119937A1] A headlamp has a discharge lamp (14) inserted in a lamp holder (13) in its reflector (11). The discharge lamp (14) is surrounded by a pot-shaped glass enveloping piston (19) at a distance such that the UV light emitted by the discharge lamp (14) is blocked. The base (22) of the enveloping piston (19) is parallel to the direction of the light beam and has an opaque coating (23). The front end of the enveloping piston (19) is held in a crown-shaped recess (21) in the lamp holder (13). Electrically conductive tracks (27, 29) vaporized onto the outer surface of the enveloping piston (19) form part of a supply line from the motor vehicle electrical system to a preliminary lamp ballast (18) which serves as a high-voltage supply for the discharge lamp (14) and are connected to the electrical system by contacts in the recess (21).

Le projecteur présente une lampe à décharge (14) placée dans son réflecteur (11) dans un porte-lampe (13). La lampe à décharge (14) est entourée à distance d'un piston enveloppant cupiliforme (19) en verre bloquant la lumière UV émise par la lampe à décharge (14). Le fond (22) du piston enveloppant (19), orienté vers la sortie du faisceau lumineux, est doté d'une couche opaque (23). Le piston enveloppant (19) est retenu, à son extrémité frontale ouverte, dans un évidement en couronne (21) dans le porte-lampe (13). Sur la face extétieure du piston enveloppant (19) sont déposées par vaporisation des pistes conductrices électriques (27, 29), lesquelles font partie d'une amenée de courant depuis le circuit de bord du véhicule vers un ballast (18) servant à alimenter la lampe à décharge (14) en courant haute tension et lesquelles sont reliées au circuit de bord par l'intermédiaire de contacts dans l'évidement (21).
