Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Verschluß an einem vorzugsweise aus Metallblech gefertigten Oberboden für einen Behälter, bestehend aus einem hochgezogenen, mit seinem freien Rand (16) nach außen gewendeten Lochkragen (1) und einem in den Lochragen (1) einsetzbaren Verschlußeinsatz (20) aus Kunststoff, wobei der Lochkragen (1) aus einem sich hauptsächlich axial erstreckenden, im wesentlichen zylindrischen, ersten Teilabschnitt (2) und einem sich im wesentlichen radial erstreckenden Flanschabschnitt (3) besteht und wobei der freie Rand (16) des Flanschabschnittes (3) von der Oberfläche des Oberbodens einen für den Eingriff von Roll- oder Clinchwerkzeugen unter dem Flanschabschnitt (3) ausreichenden lichten Abstand hat. Um den Verschluß derart zu gestalten, daß er wahlweise als Einroll- bzw. Clinchverschluß oder als Einprellverschluß verwendet werden kann und außerdem auch mit möglichst kleinen Öffnungsdurchmessern herstellbar ist, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, daß die Gesamtlänge des aus dem ersten Teilabschnitt (2) und dem Flanschabschnitt (3) bestehenden Lochkragens (1), gemessen in axialer und radialer Richtung, weniger als 6 mm beträgt. Bei einem passenden Verschlußeinsatz ist an der Außenseite des radial inneren U-Schenkels (6) des Verschlußfußes (5) und/oder an der den beiden U-Schenkel (6,8) zugewandten Innenseite des die U-Schenkel (6,8) verbundenden Flanschteiles (7) des Verschlußfußes (5) mindestens eine Aussparung (30,31) vorgesehen, die das radiale Wegdrücken des äußeren U-Schenkels (8) im Bereich des Vorsprunges (13) erleichtert. <IMAGE>
