Abstract (en)
[origin: JPH04292192A] PURPOSE: To provide a reliable and inexpensive sewing machine by pulling out a metallic piece rather than mechanically working a solid block by considering the mutually complicated shape of a slide way. CONSTITUTION: A first driving mechanism 22 has a driving shaft 3 and a driving device 8 and the opposite end parts of the two are kinematically connected to the shaft 3 by two connecting rods and a lever transmission. One of them demarcates a first moving orbit in a direction parallel with the supporting surface of a cloth and the other demarcates a second moving orbit in a direction vertical to this surface. An adjuster used therefore is provided with a slide way 20 in the shape of a circular arc in a center of the orbit plotted by a link 12 between the connecting rods of mechanism 22. The slide way 20 is mounted in the state of being freely rockable around the shaft 3 passing through an orbit and a tracer means is engaged with the slide way 20 and integrated with the shaft 3.
