[origin: EP0489225A1] A two-for-one twisting spindle with pneumatically actuated threading device. The yarn is conveyed through the yarn-guide channel (12) of the yarn-storage disc (3) by means of a compressed-air jet, the outer orifice (12.1) of the yarn-guide channel being followed by a first guide face (14) which is located on the underside of the turntable (2) and which merges into a second guide face (15) curved convexly upwards. At the same time, constructive measures in the region of the outer orifice of the yarn-guide channel ensure that the compressed-air jet issuing from the outer orifice (12.2) has such an extent h in the vertical direction and the radius of curvature R of the second guide face (15) is of such a size that R/h >/= 3 is true of the ratio of the radius of curvature R to the jet extent h. This ensures that, by a utilisation of the Coanda effect, the compressed-air jet is deflected essentially vertically upwards. <IMAGE>
