[origin: EP0489237A1] A wringing device for cleaning elements of wet cleaning apparatuses, in particular wet mops or the like, has a liquid-permeable, basket-type receptacle which is mounted in a stationary manner, for example on the rim of a bucket, and in which a cleaning element can be wrung out by pressing it in. In order to achieve easier and more efficient wringing, provision is made for the receptacle to be deformable by means of the force acting when the cleaning element is pressed in with reduction of its clear width and squeezing of the cleaning element. <IMAGE>
