Using a colour-photographic recording material which contains a pyrazoloazole coupler having a hydroquinone ether structure (I), magenta dye images having the desired colour purity and improved light stability are obtained. <IMAGE> In the formula I, PAZ is the group, capable of colour coupling, of a colour coupler from the pyrazoloazole series, L is a bridge member linked to a non-coupling position of PAZ, R<1> is alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, R<2> is alkyl or aryl, and t is 1 or 2.
