[origin: DE3929029A1] The proposal is for a circuit arrangement for operating a gas discharge lamp (1) in which the high voltage to strike the gas discharge lamp is generated via the energy stored in a transformer (7) or capacitor. To ensure a steep rise in the ignition voltage, it is fed to the gas discharge lamp via a voltage-controlled switch (5). It is proposed that the voltage-controlled switch (5) takes the form of a tumbler diode which has very short switching times. The ignition circuit is switched off after ignition. This circuit arrangement is especially suitable for striking gas discharge lamps which are still warm from operation. It is therefore particularly suitable for motor vehicle headlamps.

Il est proposé un agencement de circuit pour le fonctionnement d'une lampe à décharge gazeuse (1), où la haute tension pour l'allumage de la lampe à décharge est engendrée au moyen de l'énergie accumulée dans un transformateur (7) ou condensateur. Afin d'obtenir un fort accroissement de la tension d'amorçage, celle-ci est transmise sur la lampe à décharge par l'intermédiaire d'un interrupteur commandé en tension (5). L'interrupteur commandé en tension (5) proposé est une diode basculante ayant des temps de commutation très courts. Après l'allumage, le circuit d'amorçage est coupé. Cet agencement de circuit convient également en particulier à l'allumage de lampes à décharge chaudes par le fonctionnement. C'est pourquoi il convient en particulier aux phares de véhicules automobiles.
