[origin: US5329198A] In order to be able to ensure with low outlay a slip ring or commutator motor having a high level of freedom from noise and good running quality at maximum power, despite unavoidable deviations from circularity of the slip ring or commutator ground by the brushes abutting thereon, it is proposed according to the invention that the brushes (6; 7; 8) be supported such that they can pivot about an axis which runs radially in the vicinity of the surface and axially essentially in the axial direction of the commutator (1) or slip ring; that, according to one embodiment, the axis be formed by a guide pin (31; 41), which is retained in a brush housing (2) at least partially embracing the brush (6; 7) in the vicinity of the surface of the commutator (1) or the slip ring, and which is plugged axially through a guide slot (61; 71) running in the compression direction of the brush and open towards the surface of the slip ring or commutator (1), or that the brush (6) be tangentially embraced externally by the brush compression spring (3a) in the sense of a support with tangential supporting parts (33a; 34a), which can pivot.

Pour assurer un fonctionnement silencieux et sans à-coup à une piuissance maximale par des moyens simples en dépit des écarts inévitables de concentricité de la bague ou du collecteur sur lesquels frottent les balais en applique, les balais (6; 7; 8) sont montés pivotant sur un axe qui s'étend radialement à proximité de la surface et axialement sensiblement dans le sens de l'axe du collecteur (1) ou de la bague; dans un mode de réalisation, l'axe est constitué d'une goupille de guidage (31; 41) qui est maintenue dans une cage (2) entourant au moins partiellement le balai (6; 7) au voisinage de la surface du collecteur (1) et qui est introduite axialement dans une fente de guidage (61; 71) alignée avec le sens de pression des balais et ouverte sur la surface de la bague ou du collecteur (1), ou bien le balai (6) est serré tangentiellement vers l'extérieur par le ressort de pression de balai (3a) et est monté en pivot sur des parties tangentielles de palier (33a; 34a).
